Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of heartbreak in the early years achieved wide popularity in the first decade of the 21st century. Swift's interest in music began in the early years of her life. From musicals for kids to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. Swift was eleven years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. In the following year, she began writing songs and got a guitar. Swift was a singer who took influences from the music of Shania Twain and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world in country music composed the original songs she wrote to express her experience with alienation. When she was 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania to move towards Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to wooing labels from the country within the vicinity of Nashville.
